Re: BRYONET: Proper names for substrates

BRYONET

Someone has mentioned terricolous for soil. Xylicolous is for wood
dwellers, as opposed to corticolous for bark residents. R. M. Schuster
is my main source for xylicolous. He uses this term more frequently
than most authors, probably because so many liverworts are restricted
to decaying wood.
