Hi Richard,

If you can make a statement like the above, it is clear that you are
completely out of touch with the systematic literature -- species
concepts are the single most-discussed topic.

Your objections to monophyly have been addressed over and over in the
literature, so I don't need to repeat it all again here. While it is
clear you will never change your mind, I would urge Bryonet members to
read broadly on the topic. There are really important issues here
that bear on how we interface with the broader community of
evolutionary biologists (as explained nicely by Paul Wilson earlier
today), as well as with the community of applied conservation
biologists, land managers, and government agencies.
