Hi Dave,

If you read the paper attached to my email, you'll see that I agree
with you that there are real entities out there (I started as a
naturalist too!). I'm not a nominalist. All I am saying is that the
rank of species is unreal. These real entities are nested inside each
other, and no level is fundamentally different from other levels, or
comparable across life. Edgar Anderson was right, as was Darwin...
