New Book on 'Epiphyllous Liverworts of Eastern Himalaya'

I am pleased to inform that we have recently published a book on 'Epiphyllous Liverworts of Eastern Himalaya' [Monalisa Dey & D.K. Singh, December 2012. Epiphyllous Liverworts of Eastern Himalaya. ISBN: 81-8177-041-2; ₹2336/= / US$ 116/=; pp. viii, 415; 17 × 24 cm [215 line-drawing illustrations / color + B/W photo-plates]dealing with taxonomic account of 89 taxa belonging to orders Metzgeriales, Porellales and Jungermanniales recorded from Indian States of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Darjeeling subdivision of West Bengal.

The book deals with a comprehensive
and immaculately illustrated taxonomic
treatment of 89 taxa of liverworts
belonging to orders Metzgeriales [07
species and one variety in a single
genus and family], Porellales [75
species and one variety in 16 genera
and 04 families] and Jungermanniales
[05 species in 02 genera and as many
families] that colonize the leaf surface
of vascular plants in the states of
Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and
Darjeeling subdivision of West Bengal.
Identification keys at different
taxonomic hierarchy have been
provided and each species, or the
infraspecific taxon, is immaculately
illustrated with the help of cameralucida
drawings and
photomicrographs.
