Frahmia - A Bryological Online Journal

Dear colleagues,

After Jan-Peter Frahm passed away so suddenly in February this year there hasn’t been any sign that someone would continue his Internet publishing activities. He was always very fond to provide an easy access to bryological research results.

By establishing “Frahmia”, a bryological online journal I’m fully convinced that I act in the spirit of Jan-Peter. I believe that’s one of the best ways to commemorate him.

The first 2 volumes have been published, one with some of my personal memories, the second one covering bryological activities in Japan. You can find them linked at the Frahmia-homepage at:

I would be happy if we could continue Jan-Peters tradition and use “Frahmia” to publish bryological results that otherwise would be lost. I can only encourage and ask all of you to actively participate.

Thank you very much in advance

Kind regards

Uwe Schwarz
